Mission Statement

The European Surgical Fellows Network (ESFN) is dedicated to fostering active engagement between surgical fellows and the Union of European Medical Specialists (UEMS).

Through this collaboration, we aim to empower the next generation of European surgeons to contribute meaningfully to the development of surgical standards, education, and excellence across Europe.

The ESFN serves as a bridge — connecting fellows with the UEMS mission of advancing quality, safety, and unity in surgical practice.

UEMS Section of Surgery Webinars

The UEMS Section of Surgery hosts a series of monthly webinars designed to bring together surgeons from across Europe and beyond for shared learning and professional growth.
Each session—held on the second Thursday of every month—focuses on a single, high-impact topic delivered by leading experts in the field. These one-hour webinars offer fellows an opportunity to stay updated on emerging surgical standards, innovations, and best practices across all specialities.

For ESFN Fellows, this collection serves as a valuable resource and continuous learning platform, supporting lifelong education, cross-border collaboration, and alignment with European surgical excellence.
